Mayflex Middle East has announced a trio of new recruits to manage and develop its growing customer base and demand for its Excel range of copper, fibre, and cabinet solutions across the region.
Joining the team in the role of business development manager with specific responsibility for Qatar is Krishna Thangavelu, who has relocated from the UK to take up this role following a number of years working for Draka in a variety of technical and product management roles. Krishna will be responsible for supporting of the Excel approved partners in Qatar, as well as gaining specification and approval from consultants, government departments and key end user verticals.
Reji Raghavan has joined the company from Telematics where he most recently held the role of pre-sales manager, and will be based in the Mayflex regional head office in Dubai providing pre-sales, and project management support to the Excel field sales team and partners across the gulf.
Finally Andy Gomez will take up the role of strategic business development manager from August. Andy brings a vast amount of experience and knowledge of the Middle East market gained through a number of years at cabling provider Brand-Rex and will be directly responsible for the development of highly targeted strategic accounts across both the integrator and specification market.
Commenting on the new recruits, Mayflex group managing director Andrew Percival said, ‘I am delighted with the calibre of people we have added to the Middle East team over the past six weeks. The market for the Excel brand is growing month on month across EMEA and we are very confident that the expanded team will help this to continue and provide a superior level of support and service to our customer base in the region.’
To coincide with the team expansion Ross McLetchie, who joined the business in October 2012, has been promoted to the position of Excel sales manager for UAE and the Gulf Region.
Andrew concluded, ‘Ross has made a great impact since joining the team. His technical ability together with commercial awareness has been a real benefit to the business, and this promotion is recognition of the value he is adding, I wish him the best of luck in this new role.’
