Emerson Network Power’s range of Liebert HPC free cooling chillers gains ECA certification
Emerson Network Power has announced that its range of Liebert HPC free cooling chillers has achieved the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) certification for the UK market, with accredited models included on the government’s Energy Technology List (ETL).
In addition to providing cost savings through reduced energy costs, the Liebert HPC free cooling chiller range now carries tax related benefits as a result of the ECA certification. Emerson Network Power’s UK customers purchasing equipment from the specified range are eligible to claim a 100 per cent first year capital allowance against taxable profits for the period of investments. This means those businesses can write off the capital costs of purchasing the Liebert HPC free cooling chiller range against their taxable profits.
‘We are proud to announce that our Liebert HPC free cooling chillers comply with the rigorous standards set by the ECA scheme, emphasising our full commitment to driving sustainable business,’ commented Stefano Mozzato, precision cooling marketing director EMEA, Emerson Network Power. ‘There are clear financial benefits of the certification to our customers, from the 100 per cent first year capital allowance to improved cashflow and a reduction in Climate Change Levy or CRC payments.’
In order to be eligible for the accreditation, the Liebert HPC free cooling chiller range had to comply with strict criteria set out by the ECA and pass stringent performance tests, confirming that they match specific energy saving standards. As a result, this product line has now been inserted into the Energy Technology List, managed by the Carbon Trust.
