TE Connectivity introduces AMP CO Ultra cabling solution

TE Connectivity has introduced AMP CO Ultra (AMP Communications Outlet), an enhanced version of the AMP CO cabling system.

AMP CO Ultra is a high performing cabling solution that takes advantage of sheath sharing technology to support multiple applications in one single cabling system. Its design delivers a robust and agile physical infrastructure to support current and future business requirements, meeting Category 6A and Category 7A performance standards based on the ISO/IEC 11801 – 2008 specification.

The key component of the AMP CO Ultra System is the advanced edge connector which is installed at both the patch panel within the telecom room and at the outlet workstation. This provides an open connector interface that is able to accommodate different inserts according to the application required, whether Ethernet, IP telephony, ISDN, audio, video or CATV.

Luca Rozzoni RCDD, business line manager for LAN solutions at TE Enterprise Networks, said, ‘This is a significant component of TE Connectivity’s Enterprise Networks solutions. It allows end users to maximise their investment with a modular and future proof cabling infrastructure able to support all services with bandwidth requirements ranging from 1Gb/s to 10Gb/s or even 40Gb/s.’
