Top safety accreditation for Genesa
Genesa has had its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety recognised through its accreditation by Safecontractor.
This third-party accreditation scheme recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors and it is particularly relevant in the retail and leisure, food manufacture, property and facilities management sectors.
Genesa works across all sectors in the public as well as private arena. Its existing clients include major players such as Openreach.
The company’s application for Safecontractor accreditation has been driven by the need to demonstrate a uniform high standard across the business, particularly for those sectors where the Safecontractor accreditation is of relevance. Gerard Garcia, managing director of Genesa, commented, ‘Genesa’s total commitment to health and safety procedures is once again demonstrated by the awarding of the Safecontractor accreditation for the third year running. It complements Genesa’s accreditation to the British Safety Council as well as the receipt of their annual safety award for 11 unbroken years.’
Richard Fuller, health and safety manager at Genesa, added, ‘At Genesa we work hard to make sure that all our crews across the country are suitably trained and remain compliant to all matters pertaining to health and safety at all times. This ensures we provide our clients with the highest quality work without relaxing safety standards.’
John Kinge, technical director of Safecontractor said, ‘Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place. More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Genesa has done.’
