NG Bailey sets its sights on a £50k target for first charity partnership


 NG Bailey employees have been raising money for charities for many years.  Following a consultation with its 2,600 employees, the company has decided to create one charitable focus, which will create greater engagement between colleagues, whilst delivering more impact for the chosen charity.

 Cal Bailey, NG Bailey’s group sustainability director, said:  ‘As a company we firmly believe in giving back to our employees, to our communities and to our environment.’

 The amount raised by NG Bailey will support 1,851 nursing hours.  Each employee will begin by filling tube of smarties with £1 coins throughout the year. Each  can hold £27, the equivalent of one nursing hour. A calendar of fundraising activities has been launched for the year long partnership with Macmillan ending on June 30th 2016.

 Matt Jameson, Leeds fundraising manager for Macmillan, comments; ‘We are delighted that NG Bailey has chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as its charity of the year. Every day 889 people are diagnosed with cancer and it is often the start of one of the hardest battles they will ever have to face.

 ‘We want to make sure that no one has to face this alone and with the support of NG Bailey we can work towards achieving this.’
