Up until recently many Dynamode products used the established Ralink devices, however, following the recent acquisition by the MediaTek Group, best known for its high end communications products, Dynamode now uses the vastly improved MT range of signal processors, with the aim of giving better wireless performance, reduced power consumption and compliance with the next generation of wireless networks.
The new Dynamode WL-700N-RXS is the first of a generation of wireless devices to feature the new MT7601 signal processor, which overall improves wireless signalling by around 20 per cent and a reduced overall power consumption of around 30 per cent, ideal for mobile and small form factor computing devices. Leveraging the MT series enhanced features will give IT managers and networking integrators further scope to use the WL-700N-RXS ultra small form factor in a wide variety of applications, ranging from Windows(tm), Mac(tm) and of course enterprise level Linux(tm) or Unix(tm) operating systems.
With a fully embedded diversity antenna and the ability for the WL-700N-RXS to be added as a permanent fixture in mobile devices means this 802.11n device is also ideal for public sector, education and public areas since no external antennas are present.
