IDEAL Networks is one of 14 new Alliance members, bringing the current total membership to more than 45 companies.
‘Joining the NBASE-T Alliance enables Ideal Networks to participate in an important forum to our industry,’ explains Tim Widdershoven, global marketing manager for Ideal Networks. ‘We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with our peers in finding solutions to real-world technical challenges.’
The Alliance says its ongoing industry work continues to facilitate the widespread use and deployment of multigigabit Ethernet through promotion of the IEEE 802.3bz standard.
Peter Jones, Chairman of the NBASE-T Alliance commented: ‘We believe our work has accelerated the definition of the 802.3bz standard, and is facilitating the widespread deployment of multigigabit products. We expect 2016 will be a year of widespread product adoption and intend to deliver the supporting specifications and certification programs needed to develop a strong ecosystem around 2.5G and 5GBASE-T.’
The NBASE-T Alliance is a consortium focused on promoting and advancing 2.5GBASE-T/5GBASE-T Ethernet, enabling compatibility across the ecosystem and ensuring smooth deployment as the standards evolve. It provides a forum for key stakeholders to discuss and address technical challenges.
