Geist is now able to use the UL mark on the recently released Geist Upgradeable power strips, plus its Intelligent Containment and SwitchAir cooling products.
The company has operated a UL approved laboratory in the USA since 2010 and this has recently been expanded to include an environmental test chamber, enabling in-house temperature and humidity testing.
Gordon Hutchison, VP for International Operations at Geist, said, ‘UL is a world renowned company, and rigorously tests manufacturing facilities and production processes before awarding its approval. Our PDU products have already been third party tested to confirm they are within one per cent accurate for power, voltage, frequency and temperature readings.
‘This latest UL accreditation is further testimony to our commitment to quality. We understand that downtime is not an option when operating in a data centre environment and this is reflected in the way in which we design all of our products, so that our customers can use them with 100 per cent confidence.’
