Excel launches new online warranty system

Excel Networking Solutions has launched a new online warranty system that provides accredited Excel Partners with a simple way to register their warranty applications.

Excel provides a comprehensive 25 year product and applications warranty on copper, fibre and voice installations when the products have been installed by an accredited Excel Partner.

The new online warranty system takes the partner through a series of questions to obtain the relevant information and then the test results can be submitted online or sent via the post. Once the Excel team has received the results and analysed the data, as long as it meets the required standards, the 25 year product and application warranty will be issued.

The new online warranty system provides a number of new features and benefits including:

Improved speed of warranty process

The ability for the Excel Partner to print off the warranty certificate from the website as soon as it has been approved and the option to send a link to a copy of the certificate directly to their end user customer

The ability for Excel Partners to view pending warranties online

The ability for Excel Partners to view a database of all their warranty applications at any time to suit them

Commenting on hte new system, Simon Robinson, Excel product manager, said, ‘Since the relaunch of the Excel Partner Programme back in October 2011 our technical and web team have been working closely together to improve the way that Excel Partners submit warranty applications to Excel. We believe this enhanced system will not only be quicker but will provide much more detailed technical documentation for the partner and the end user customer.

‘As part of this improved system we will also be insisting that all of the test results that are submitted must be done via a properly calibrated tester and all of the results will be held by Excel for the period of 25 years.’

The Excel Partner Programme offers two levels of accreditation to installation companies, an Excel Cabling Partner (ECP) and an Excel Solutions Partner (ESP).  Acceptance to either programme follows an application process based around technical and commercial capability, commitment to undergo extensive training and sit an exam to demonstrate a full understanding of the Excel Structured Cabling System and how to design, install and test systems in accordance with the Excel guidelines, best practice and above all standards compliance. Once the partner has become accredited they are able to offer the 25 year product and application warranty.
