This year’s win follows the company’s previous VIBES award success for Environmental Management.

The Energy Management and Efficiency category of the awards is aimed at businesses that have significantly reduced energy consumption within their own organisation or through providing a service, developing an energy saving product or through working in partnership with others.
During the audit and tour of the Brand-Rex headquarters, the judging panel validated the evidence for the awards category and took note of other environmental practices like recycling, carbon neutral cable manufacturing initiatives, water management and legislative compliance.
Brand-Rex was able to provide over three years of detailed monitoring records and demonstrated improvements across all business areas.
Brand-Rex development manager Kennedy Miller added, ‘Winning this award has shown us that we have the right processes in place to ensure the best possible environmental performance of our company.
‘By repeating our 2011 VIBES success we have demonstrated we take energy and environmental management seriously. Our environmental strategy exceeds current legal requirements. When stricter environmental monitoring becomes mandatory we will have a head start.’
