The event took place at the Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai, UAE, where more than 150 delegates took in two days of education, exhibits and networking.
There was a true thirst for knowledge present at the conference, evidenced by the attendance at each technical session, including each of the Pre-Conference Workshops. Topics discussed during the conference spanned the Internet of Things and Smart Cities; Gigabit Wi-Fi in the Workplace; Digital Building Infrastructure; Data Center Design; and more. These presentations were given by international experts and regional leaders in the field of ICT, and attendees displayed an overwhelming enthusiasm for listening to subject matter experts share their knowledge on cutting-edge technologies and solutions.
In addition to presentations, there was strong support for BICSI from the 10 exhibitors who set up booths to speak with delegates about the latest products and services available to them. The response received from all parties involved was resoundingly positive, and many are looking forward to the next event in the area.
The conclusion of the conference comes just after the announcement that BICSI has obtained a license to open an office in Dubai. BICSI membership in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) District has been steadily climbing, and Dubai has been identified as a prime area for ICT industry advancement and expansion.
‘BICSI is bustling with activity in this area of the world, and the MEA Conference proved to be a perfect avenue to show our commitment to further cultivating the ICT community,’ said BICSI President Brian Ensign.
