Developed specifically for the protection of workstations and small servers running demanding applications, the new UPSs feature EcoControl power outlets, which enable energy savings up to 20 per cent. The unit also incorporates a large LCD that provides users with reassurance that they are working securely and Advanced Surge Reduction (ASR) that complies fully with the requirements of the IEC 616431-1 standard.

Eaton’s Ellipse Pro UPSs provide effective protection against data loss and equipment damage for a wide range of users, including IT managers in small and medium sized companies, small business owners such as architects, doctors and lawyers, and home users with valuable IT assets. The units are offered, as standard, with a full three year warranty. In addition, for customers in the EU and Norway, Eaton is offering unlimited insurance for connected computer equipment if damaged by power supply problems.

Ellipse Pro UPSs are available in four versions: 650VA, 850VA, 1,200VA and 1,600VA. They use line-interactive topology, with booster and fader Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), which ensure that they offer a steady output voltage even if the input voltage varies over the wide range of 150V to 285V. The integral automatic surge reduction feature provides complete protection against power surges caused, for example, by nearby lightning strikes, and includes an indicator to confirm that the surge protection is active. As well as power line surge protection, Ellipse Pro UPSs offer protection for data lines, including broadband and Ethernet connections.
