Solar Communications wins outstanding customer service award for fifth year running

The IP telephony firm, which designs and installs unified communications networks for businesses across the country, has received the award from telephony manufacturer Shoretel every year since 2009.

‘We are delighted to win this award for the fifth year running,’ CEO Mark Colquhoun stated. ‘We believe that excellent customer service is essential in our line of business. Unified communications can be a complex area for business leaders to grasp, and working with a specialist consultant with a good understanding of the field is the only way to achieve a first class outcome. That expert and bespoke service is what we strive to provide at Solar and it is wonderful to have all that hard work recognised year after year.’

The outstanding customer service award is given to companies which achieve over 95 per cent in Shoretel’s Net Promoter Score index. This measurement is recognised the world over as best practice when it comes to evaluating customer service quality in business, as clients are not only asked about how satisfied they are with their experience, but also if they would recommend the firm to friends and colleagues.

Solar is a long running partner of Shoretel. The manufacturer has not only repeatedly recognised Solar’s outstanding customer service levels, but also its commercial, engineering, installation and support skills. In fact, Solar has won the European Partner of the Year award annually since 2008. This award is handed to just one company every year, making Solar officially the best Shoretel reseller in Europe.

It has also been placed in Shoretel’s Circle of Excellence since 2010, becoming the first European company to achieve this. The award is given in recognition of outstanding customer service, product knowledge and sales capability.

Solar’s excellent service has also been noted by an ever expanding pool of loyal customers, who are helping to make the company one of the fastest-growing technology firms in the UK. In September 2012, Solar was listed for the second year running in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 league table, jumping 37 places to rank at number 50.

On the back of this success, Solar has branched out across the UK and can now provide its award winning service to businesses across the country from its bases in London and Salford.
