Allied Telesis announces partnership with Avonline

Allied Telesis International has announced its new partnership with Avonline.

Avonline is involved in the delivery and project management of fibre networks. The partnership means both companies can respond to the growing industry demand for Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs) across the UK and Ireland.

In light of the government’s public sector spending review and subsequent 27 per cent reduction of local government budgets, metropolitan fibre has become a hot topic for local governments as they look to build private infrastructures as a foundation for rationalisation of applications and services.

‘Through this new partnership, Allied Telesis and Avonline can now leverage effective delivery of large scale metropolitan area fibre infrastructures to new and existing customers,’ said Jane Brett, sales director for UK and Ireland at Allied Telesis. ‘At Allied Telesis we are delighted to have formed this new relationship and are thrilled that Avonline shares our commitment in providing low cost solutions with the highest quality of products and services in the market.’

‘With Avonline’s 30 years of experience and Next Generation Networks built for over two million customers, this is a great opportunity where both organisations have implemented a number of such projects both in the UK and abroad,’ said Trevor Thomas, business services director at Avonline. ‘This partnership brings the relationships and proven skills necessary to cost, specify and deliver resilient, high speed, multi-service, fibre infrastructures. This gives local authorities a powerful opportunity to assess and to implement an alternative commercial model from traditional leased infrastructures.’
