Blue Helix announces new appointments
Blue Helix has appointmented John Logue as its new commercial director, based at the company’s head office in Gatwick.
John will lead the development and rapid growth of Blue Helix’s business in the UK and overseas, through supplying a wide range of fibre optic and copper cabling solutions for computer network, data centre, rail, security, utility, telecom, broadcast, defence and government customers.
Prior to joining Blue Helix, John held the roles of sales and commercial director at B3 Cable Solutions, where he successfully developed its business in the telecoms, FTTX, rail, power and industrial sectors with customers including BT, Virgin Media, eircom, Batelco, London Underground, SSE and Johnson Controls. John was also a driving force in establishing and growing B3’s Mid East business to $6m within three years.
During his time at B3, John was instrumental in the acquisitions of a Spanish manufacturing facility and a German distributor and delivered all the company’s new branding, Internet and marketing programmes. John has also worked overseas in the Middle East and the Netherlands for Belden and began his industry career with BICC in 1996. He gained his MBA from Manchester Business School whilst working at Belden and had previously earned a PGDip in Management at Glasgow Caledonian University and BSc Hons in Microelectronics at Paisley University.
The appointment of John Logue to the senior management team at Blue Helix is part of the company’s strategy to rapidly grow the business over the coming years.
Blue Helix has also expanded its internal sales team with the appointment of three new sales executives. Joining the team is Naomi Fowle who will be looking after the South East of England. Courtney O’Dwyer will be responsible for accounts in London. Due to the year-on-year success of Blue Helix’s South West regions team, Grace McKenzie has joined this team to assist Nigel Baker on the area’s continued growth.
Naomi, Courtney and Grace are going through the Blue Helix Academy, which is an intensive training and induction programme ensuring that all customers not only receive excellent service, but also have the opportunity to deal with technical specialists who truly understand their installation requirements and issues.
