Xirrus brings BYOD connectivity to auctioneers

Tattersalls has selected Xirrus Wireless Arrays to deliver high capacity BYOD connectivity at its extensive Park Paddocks complex in Newmarket, Suffolk.

The deployment satisfies the growing demand for connectivity from clients and will enable spectators to enjoy a better, more connected experience during sales and other prominent events.

Tattersalls is the world’s oldest, and Europe’s largest, bloodstock auctioneers, specialising in thoroughbred horses. The grounds at Park Paddocks extend to some 43 acres with approximately 820 horses on site at any given time. Tattersalls’ main sale at the end of the year sees a turnaround of 2,500 horses in the course of two weeks. Tattersalls’ auctions are a public affair, regularly attracting 1,000 people and it wanted to give customers and spectators a reliable wireless service across the entire complex.
