Netshield shortlisted for International Trade Award

Netshield has been shortlisted for the Midlands Business Insider International Trade Award for its recent expansion activities in the last 12 months.

Recognised for its international trade, portfolio of IT services and ethos, the business is one of the finalists in the Technology section of the awards, with the winners set to be announced at a prestigious dinner at the National Motorcycle Museum on 12th July.

A total of 27 companies, colleges and public bodies from across the region are set to battle it out at the prestigious black tie event, created to celebrate and encourage the Midlands’ businesses to drive for exporting excellence.

Kurt Jacobs, editor at Midlands Business Insider commented, ‘We received some very strong entries such as Netshield for these awards, which goes to show how seriously overseas trade is now being taken. With economic growth in emerging markets far outstripping those closer to home, our shortlisted companies are stealing a march on their competitors by seeking international business opportunities.’

Richard Carty, Netshield’s commercial director, added, ‘In the last 12 months Netshield has been successful in securing new contracts with European based organisations and has significantly invested in our people, data centres and operations; to strengthen the service we can provide to companies locally, nationally and internationally. So, we are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award.’

The black tie event will hear from two of the country’s most important people in international trade – Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya, founder of the Warwickshire Manufacturing Group and widely regarded as the negotiator who secured Jaguar Land Rover’s future by getting Tata to invest in the car maker, and Crispin Simon, managing director of UKTI’s Trade Development Group.
