Prysmian Group to strengthen Draka branded UC Connect and Network Cabling Solutions.

Prysmian Group to strengthen Draka branded UC Connect and Network Cabling Solutions.

Following the commencement of the integration program a decision has been made to continue both the Prysmian and Draka brands under the newly formed Prysmian Group.

Draka was taken over in February 2011 by Prysmian Group.

Combining both the commercial, design engineering and production capabilities of Prysmian with Draka’s datacom market focus has created a reliable systems provider in LAN and data centre networks. The established Draka UC brand will strengthen and complement Prysmian’s commercial brands and system solutions, including Sirocco blown fibre and OAsys fibre management.

Draka is now proud to announce that it has achieved third party verification for Category 6 and Category 6a UC Connect solutions. This will form the basis of Draka’s warrantied UC Connect system.

‘In a business which relies on warrantied network solutions, sustainability in technology is key. Network Operators and installers now have a true long term perspective using UC Connect,’ said Adrian Austin, UK sales director, Draka MMS, Prysmian Group.

‘Convenience, reliability and ease of use are the core principles of our network solutions. We are pleased to now make available a convenient packaged solution that provides full third party verification on its Class EA capability combined with design specific robustness that enables a quick and easy installation process.’

Draka will be at DataCentreWorld, London Olympia, February 29th – March 1st.
