3M launches website, giving electrical installers and contractors an interactive and online source of knowledge

3M has launched a website to provide a new online based knowledge resource aimed at contractors, distributors and installers planning to purchase electrical joints, terminations and accessories.

The site, www.3m.co.uk/cablejointing, is designed to make it easy for viewers to tailor the visit to their specific needs, including more than 40 new videos that provide access to technical expertise, such as detailed installation demonstrations.

The site also acts as a showcase for the 3M range of joints and terminations available in the UK and Ireland. The range includes standard, economy, premium and hydro-carbon resistant options for low voltage, plus recent additions to medium and high voltage joints and terminations. There are also solutions for special environments, including hazardous conditions, cable abandonment requirements, rail and underground installations.

Neil Roberts, general sales and marketing manager, 3M Electrical Markets division in the UK, said, ‘Through our website we want to showcase our innovative products in an engaging way. The aim is to create a single place where our customers can find a rich variety of content and support, supplementing any training or refreshing people’s knowledge.’
